Join Ranger Lily and Instructional Coordinator Rebekha for a guided tour of the permanent exhibition, "Bosque Redondo鈥�A Place of Suffering鈥�A Place of Survival." Participants will also experience a tour outdoors, visiting the site鈥檚 flock of Navajo Churro sheep and exploring the exterior grounds at Fort Sumner Historic Site. These tours teach people about the experiences of the Din茅 (Navajo) and Nd茅 (Mescalero Apache) who were forced to live at Bosque Redondo Indian Reservation in the 1860s, as well as stories of their resilience and hope through time. The tour is included with general admission of $7/adult and free for children 16 and younger and Native/Tribal Affiliations

The Rail Yards Market of Albuquerque operates on Sundays from 10am-2pm during the months of May-October. A non-profit run growers' market, originally established in 2014 by volunteers and neighborhood residents, celebrating all things local and at the heart of New Mexican culture. We are much more than your typical farmer's or grower's market; every Sunday you can peruse 100's of New Mexico's finest food, farm, artisan, and healing vendors, hear live musicians, and come away enriched from our educational and demonstration zones for kids and adults! Every Sunday is a different theme with different activities and vendors you wont want to miss. All located at The Rail Yards in the historic Barelas neighborhood in the heart of our City!

The 9th edition of the 鈥淐onservation of Architectural Heritage (CAH)鈥� conference comprehensively covers the topic of heritage creative and technical conservation, preservation and community engagement. Additionally, it aims to bring the topic of conservation considering archaeological, historic, modern, and contemporary heritage, as well as the diversity of scales: landscape, urban and architectural ones. This will be explored within the umbrella of sustainability and accessibility discussing the relations between cultural heritage preservation and development

The 9th CITAA conference convenes urban planners, architects, artists, historians, and scholars worldwide, aiming to foster collaboration and address key challenges in cities' identities and cultural preservation. Discussions will span historical urban development, contemporary architectural conservation, and artistic expression. Topics include the significance of architectural heritage, arts in urban revitalization, and strategies for sustainable development. The conference will explore innovative approaches to preserving cultural heritage and fostering inclusive urban spaces, leveraging technology and community engagement for impactful solutions.

This provides a unique lens on the Society鈥檚 legacy of connecting to a community of artists and supporters of Hispano arts in New Mexico and beyond.
