He is now the programming manager for KKOB News Radio.

In the fifth installment of our series taking a look at each Albuquerque mayoral candidate, we have an interview from our public media compatriot, New Mexico PBS. Host of New Mexico in Focus, Nash Jones, spoke with Louie Sanchez, an Albuquerque City Councilor representing District 1 on Albuquerque’s Westside, who is running for the top office.

In the fourth installment of a series looking at Albuquerque’s mayoral candidates, ¾ÅÉ«Íø’s Daniel Montano spoke with former U.S. Attorney for New Mexico, Alex Uballez, who said his choice to run for mayor came from a desire to continue serving the public after leaving his position as the top federal prosecutor in the state.

In the second part of our series on the six Albuquerque mayoral candidates, ¾ÅÉ«Íø’s Daniel Montano talks with Mayling Armijo, who would be the first female mayor here if successful. She was the Economic Development Director for Bernalillo County and is an officer in the Navy reserves. She is currently the executive director of the Elevated Lending Community Development Corporation. She said both familial and personal experiences with crime and other issues in the city drove her to run.

On Nov. 4, Albuquerque voters will be choosing from a list of six people to fill the mayor’s office for the next four years. As part of a series exploring all the candidates, ¾ÅÉ«Íø’s Daniel Montano spoke with incumbent Tim Keller, who is running for what would be a historic third term. Keller says he wants to finish the work he started and outlined his top priorities.

Albuquerque mayoral candidate Alex Uballez announced Thursday a nine-point series of inquiries into Mayor Tim Keller’s administration, and handling of funds. Uballez is requesting public records regarding possible asbestos exposure during construction of the Gateway Center. He also seeks details on how certain people were paid or took bonuses or vacation, suggesting favoritism and pay-to-play.

The increased presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials has caused alarm for many in New Mexico. Now it’s part of Albuquerque’s mayoral race, with two candidates sparring over how the city should, or should not, work with ICE. A third candidate says there are more things the city can do that ensure public safety and protect civil rights.

A second contender for the Albuquerque Mayoral race says the required 3,000 signatures needed to officially run is within his grasp. Alexander Uballez announced hitting the milestone at a rally Friday.

As President-elect Donald Trump promises mass deportations, Mayor Tim Keller is steeling himself to take on renewed federal challenges to Albuquerque's so-called "sanctuary city" status.
