University Showcase, Friday 5/21 8a: Each year the University of New Mexico recognizes a faculty member with its Community Engaged Research Lecture award. On this episode, from the American Studies Department talks about her lecture "Dikos Ntsaaígíí  ̶ Building the Perfect Human to Invade: A ¶Ù¾±²Ôé Feminist Analysis of the Pandemic and the Navajo Nation.â€

She is the first ¶Ù¾±²Ôé person to earn a history PhD. She’s a strong advocate for Native peoples and strives to foster academic excellence in the next generation of students interested in Indigenous Studies.

Megan has been a journalist for 25 years and worked at business weeklies in San Antonio, New Orleans and Albuquerque. She first came to ¾ÅÉ«Íø as a phone volunteer on the pledge drive in 2005. That led to volunteering on Women’s Focus, Weekend Edition and the Global Music Show. She was then hired as Morning Edition host in 2015, then the All Things Considered host in 2018. Megan was hired as News Director in 2021.
