Melinda Snodgrass began her Hollywood career with Star Trek: The Next Generation where she was a script writer and series story editor. She writes for, and co-edits, the shared world anthology series Wild Cards with George R. R. Martin. She studied opera at the Conservatory of Vienna, and holds degrees in history (UNM) and law (UNM Law School). In 2021 she was the Screenwriting Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker for the Life, the Universe, & Everything professional science fiction and fantasy symposium.
