Last year, New Mexico lawmakers created the Wildlife Corridors Fund, starting it off with $5 million. This session, additional funding for the projects to reduce crashes with large animals is up in the air despite a $30 million recommendation from Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation will host a summit Thursday April 20, 2023 to discuss traffic safety and cannabis use.
